How to reply to this discussion: There were many plantation owners during the civil war. Our crops and our land are the most prized possessions we own. We took care of it and made sure it was always in perfect shape. We made sure our slaves were doing their job. They help get everything done faster. They help us plantation owners get the money we need to support our families. We cannot lose them. If we lose them we will lose everything we worked so hard for. The way we ran our plantations are ruined. The slaves are free and we don’t have the labor we use to have. This will not stop us though. There may be new rules in place, but there is always ways to go around them. We will get a new system. It will be greater than the one before and we will get out plantations back on track. We will get our hometowns back they way the should be. We will make it right again.
