The goal of Churchill's iron curtain speech was to further describe the division between the area that the Soviet Union controlled and the Western powers which ended up resulting in the Soviet Union trying to block themselves from open contact with the west. Churchill described Russia as having an iron curtain as well because of the efforts from the Soviet to divide themselves from the west and cutting off any contact including their allie’s and neutral states The Iron Curtain speech was held in the United States. because Churchill was trying to stress the importance of the United States and Britain to act as a type of guardian to keep the peace between countries and obtain the stability needed against the Soviet Union communism and what they were trying to do after dividing themselves from everyone.
