How David Wechsler contributed to intelligence testing?
How David Wechsler contributed to intelligence testing? (doesn't need to be long pls)
David Wechsler was an American psychologist who is widely known for the development of intelligence tests for adults and children. Wechsler was not satisfied with the Standford-Binet intelligence test and wanted to eliminate the limitations of the test. He complained that the test gave results in terms of a single score which, according to him, was not all-encompassing of the human intelligence. Another complaint was that the Stanford-Binet test was only developed for children and he wanted to develop something for the adults as well. As a result, Wechsler developed a new test in the 1930s which came to be known as Wechsler Adult Intelligence Test (WAIS).
