Health and Cure Hospital (H&C) is a new hospital in Amman and tries to provide the best medical care and facilities to its patients. After a short period of time, they noted that it is very difficult to keep records of its day-to-day activities manually as well as the medical staff information is not well-organized. The executive management in H&C believes that the business requirements have emerged and they need to invest in developing new technology. Therefore, they met the IT managers and they indicated that they need to develop a database system to organize all information about patients and medical staff in each department, in addition to that it will help to keep records of all hospital activities. H&C consists of set of medical departments, such as Surgical Department, Internal Medicine Department and Pediatrics & Neonatology Department. Each patient has his own record that contains his personal information such as name, address, age, and so on. The hospital needs to track the information of its patients in every department. Each department has its own nurses and it contains its own rooms. Each room has a dedicated nurse who is in charge of it and has properties like room ID and number of beds. Also, each department has its own doctors. Each doctor fill out the patient’s medical report during the consultant and curing. The medical report contains the patient's medical information such as the prescription, medications, laboratory tests, date of entry into the department and date of discharge from the department. You are employed as a database developer and your manger asked you to implement a database application to support the basic functions of the hospital. The main duties assigned to you are to: 1. Investigate the requirements of the system. 2. Design, provide and implement the system. 3. Write a technical documentation for a fully functional system.
