Ignoring American involvement for a second, what were the underlying causes of the First World War?
World war 1 was one of the world's biggest and most dangerous wars. This was such a war in which almost all the big and powerful countries of that time participate and it's the effect the world for a long time. World war 1 starts in 1914 and ends in 1918. The war was between two opposing alliances The Allies and the Central powers. The main reason for world war 1 was the assassination of Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand on June 28, 1914, in the Bosnian capital Sarajevo. After this Austria-Hungary declared war against Serbia and slowly other most powerful countries of that time were involved in this and it become the first world war. Even though this war started in 1914, the script of this war was being written long back by different countries. There were many reasons which together played a big role in the occurrence of this terrible war.
