QUESTION :

Draw the flowchart of the function bmi() according to the specification (ii).

Body mass index (BMI) is a measure of body fat based on height and weight that
applies to adult men and women. Accurate assessments of BMI is important to
monitor our medical conditions including type 2 diabetes, heart disease and others.
The WHO has categorized the BMI category as tabulated in Table 4.
Table 4: BMI Categories
Category
Severely underweight
Range
< 16
Underweight
16 – 18.49
Normal (healthy weight)
Overweight
Obese
18.5 – 24.99
25 - 30
> 30
As a biomedical engineer, you are requested to develop a medical device that has
the following features:
i. Record FIVE (5) user sets of weight and height data in float datatype using
two (2) single-dimensional C array in datatype, respectively.
ii. The C program has a user-defined function named *bmi()' which perform
the following operations:
• Receive two integer arrays as function arguments.
• Compute the mean of weight and height from the two input array
arguments, respectively, as well as calculate the BMI value according
to equation (1)
Ii weight (in kg)
E-Ei height (in m)
BMI
(1)
• Based on the calculated BMI, display the correct BMI category accordingly.
• Return the BMI value to the caller function.
