Novel corona virus disease (COVID 2019) has emerged as a pandemic now.
Corona virus belongs to a large group of virus that can infect both humans and animals. They cause respiratory disease that range from mild to moderate cold and cough extending to more severe disorders like MERS, SARS and the recent ongoing higly infectious COVID 19.
Though there is no well defined treatment for management of COVID 19, several medicines have been tried to symptomatically manage the condition. The drugs tried are hydroxychloroquin, remdesivir, ritonavir, interleukin 6 inhibitor etc.
Convalescent plasma therapy from recovered patients has been recently tested in various countries.
