Question

Explain the 3 main arguments in philosophy for the existence of God.

Expert Solution
Step 1

The existence of God is the belief that a supreme preternatural or supernatural being exists who is the creator, preserver, and/or ruler of the world and everything in it, including humans. In several religions, God is also considered to be pure and incomprehensible by humans, as everyone knowing and everything powerful, and as the foundation and source of morality.

Theism's central feature and a defining feature of many different religious systems is faith in the existence of God. The dilemma of whether God's existence could be proven via reason, revelation, or religious experience, or whether it must simply be embraced as a factor of faith, has occupied Christians in particular for a significant portion of their history.
