Growth media in a liquid form is called as Nutrient broth.
It's composition mainly consists of essential ingredients such a rich source of sugars, amino acids and vitamins.
Nutrient agar contains the nutrition which is suitable to subculture a wide variety of microorganisms and makes it an excellent agar media for the checking if purity before any biochemical or serological test.
Nutrient broth is nutrient agar minus the solidifying agent ,which is agar powder.
They remain in liquid form at room temperature. They are generally used for growth of fastidious organisms.
Enrichment of nutrient broth can be done with blood, serum, sugars etc .
