- Direct Discrimination: Direct Discrimination occurs when employer treats a person unfavorable as compared to others on the basis of age, gender, status, disability etc. Example: When an interviewer directly asks questions related to age, gender etc from the interviewee, it is called Direct Discrimination.
- Indirect Discrimination: Indirect Discrimination occurs when some criteria for job is held that appears that employer treats everyone equally but in practical, these criterias are implemented to not to take group of people which is totally unfavorable and it is called Indirect Discrimination. Example: Minimum height requirement in the job where height does not matter in that type of job.
