The discipline of psychology which began as the study of the mind and human behaviour has flowered in the past few decades. Today not only does Psychology focus its attention on abnormal cases but it also looks at how to improve human performance. Industrial psychology especially is a field which looks at the human personality and means in which it can be trained for positive outcomes.
Emotional quotient refers to the way in which humans understand their own emotions. Such emotional knowledge allows individuals to use and harness their emotions in creative ways that improve communications, reduce stress and use empathy to resolve problem situations.
