Draw/Diagram how translation starts at the N-terminus of a protein. Include the ribosome and label the associated parts.
It is the process of the formation of proteins by the process of Translation. The proteins are formed from the mRNA which is formed from the DNA by the process of Transcription, the whole process is known as Central Dogma which involves two processes:-
1) When DNA changes into mRNA- known as Transcription, by the help of enzyme RNA polymerases.
2) When proteins are translated from the mRNA- Known as Translation, by the help of enzyme Peptidyl transferase.
Translation starts with the binding of the ribosomal subunit to a sequence on the mRNA chain. Translation starts with the initiating codon ie AUG.
