Compare and contrast the Minoans and the Mycenaeans
One of the earliest civilizations to emerge in Greece was the Minoans, followed by the Mycenaeans. The Bronze Age civilizations of the Minoans and Mycenaeans receive the most attention. They were both based in the Aegean region and they were simultaneously neighbors, enemies, as well as allies. Within Crete island, the Minoans established a significant civilization that existed from 2600 BC until 1400 BC. Between around 1600 BC and 1100 BC, the Mycenaeans, who flourished on the greek Mainland, dominated the area.
