Briefly explain the contribution that Matthias Schleiden made to the study of genetics.
The study of genes is known as genetics, and it is important to identify the background of a particular disease, tragedy, or treatment. The fields which included in the study of genetics are biology, cell biology, chemistry, physics, microbiology, bioinformatics, and mathematics.
On 5 April 1804, a German botanist Matthias Jakob Schleiden was born. He was a scientist who has his contribution to the cell theory introduction of genetics. The basic building block of the plants are cells which were introduced by the Matthias Schleiden. He experimented and investigated plants and declared that cells are the units of plants. He recognized the cell nucleus importance and speculated that new cells production would take place from the nuclei of old cells. He and his co-workers introduced the principle of cell theory in genetics. This was the main contribution of Matthias Schleiden in the study of genetics.
