After decades of struggle for the right to vote, Filipino women finally secured suffrage in 1937. By now, you must have read Encarnacion Alzona's "Shall the Filipino Women Vote?" which was originally published in 1919. Here is the work of another Filipino suffragist, Trinidad Fernandez Legarda, who wrote this piece, "Philippine Women and the Vote (Links to an external site.)" and published it in  Philippine Magazine in 1931.
