The IR spectra of the unknown compound have a sharp peak of medium intensity between 900-1000 Cm-1, a broad peak of large intensity between 1000 -1100 cm-1, a broad peak of medium intensity between 1200-1400 cm-1 and a sharp peak around 3600 cm-1

The 1-H NMR spectra of the unknown compound have a total of three different peak. The 1-H NMR consists of a triplet around 2.0 ppm, a quartet around 4.0 ppm and a singlet around 4.5 ppm. The peak present at 0 ppm is due to the presence of Tetramethyl Silane which is used as a reference.
