Expert Solution
Introduction

Ever since human beings learnt how to domesticate animals and plants, a new era of human social existence began. Upon achieving food security (birth of agriculture and food security), human activity and energy was released for other pursuits. This was the beginning of social division and the emergence of assigned roles that resulted in the emergence of social classes.

Social class is nothing but a principle of social stratification by which people are assigned to different hierarchical groups on the basis of criteria such as income, education, wealth etc. America itself was characterized by such classes from its very inception as those who were landed or received charted from European Kings varied greatly from those who came over to America often as indentured labourers.
