Hey there!

I'm having a real difficulty getting past a specific concept and was curious if you could help me to understand how to arrive at the answer, especially when faced with different versions of this question? I felt like I understood the concepts of the Unit Circle and radian measure, but I think I'm just misunderstanding how the different quadrant's determine your equation and how you should subtract/add.

As you'll see, my attached picture does include the answer, but I feel like this breakdown overlooks the important step of how to distinguish what the coterminal angle is? It just says what the coterminal angle is, but how do you determine that? I know what a coterminal angle is, but maybe not how to arrive at this answer well enough.

Thank you for any help you can provide to this concept.
