In the year 1824, the 10th election for the President of the United States of America was held. This election would come to become a watershed moment in American history and politics. It was for the first time that there were no Federalist candidates rather all the candidates were Democratic-Republicans. There were four candidates who were up for the post, they were Andrew Jackson, John Quincy Adams, William Crawford, and Henry Clay.
