Ebers Papyrus is a medical document from Egypt that dates back to 1550 BCE. This makes it one of the oldest medical treatises in the world. The text is almost a hundred pages long and in hieratic Egyptian writing. The document seems to have some parts which are as old as 3000 BCE, thus pointing to the evolution of medical knowledge over a long period of time.
