Report
In this study, I collected data from a class of 26 fifth graders who attend Belle Terre Elementary School. With the permission of the principal and teacher, there was a permission slip sent home and returned with their parent's signature before the research was started. The focus was based on evaluating the self-confidence that each student has. The way that the data was collected was through a standardized test that measured all 26 of the student's self-confidence. The results showed that many students had low, average, and high self-confidence. The letters from the data set represent the amount of students who participated in this research (A-Z). The numbers from the data set represent the test scores, which are in the first column. The second column is the cumulative probability that each student received. After the import of the test scores, I created a numerical expression CDFE.NORMAL (Test_Scr,100,15) which gave me the probability column. In this column, I looked for the numbers that were less than .05 to find what was statistically significant in the data. Student (H) scored a 69 on their test which had a cumulative probability of .02 the raw score was statistically significant because .02<.05. Student (S) scored a 71 on their test which had a cumulative probability of .03 the raw score was statistically significant because .03<.05. Student (W) scored a 70 on their test which had a cumulative probability of .02 the raw score was statistically significant because .02<.05.
