ABA 741- Data Collection Task II Please watch the data collection task video link below. After watching once, answer questions 1 & 2. Start watching a second time, and begin recording data at the beginning of the video (#3). The following questions will be based off of your knowledge of the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=spuMFceTZGo Keeping in mind that the goal for this child is to reduce problem behavior, 1. What type of data collection method is the most appropriate for this session? *Remember, multiple types of data collection can be used for each session.* Why? (e.g. frequency, latency, duration, inter-response time, trials to criterion) Answer: I choose frequency and duration because when you are trying to reduce a behavior the clinician needs to know how often the client engages in this type of behavior and how long this behavior lasts. Knowing this information will help the clinician to know if their behavior modification plan is working of if it needs to be adjusted to help the client. 2. Operationally define all target behaviors seen in the video: Behavior Operational Definition Data Collection Method Headbutting Engaging in self-injurious behaviors when her mother is trying to de-escalate the situation. Frequency/Count of how often the behavior occurs Screaming Yells in a loud voice above a normal speaking voice. Duration/frequency
