Introduction The 16-year-old Tiffani Bradley has experienced an extensive amount of trauma (Walden University, 2022). Tiffani fled her house because, for her age, she had not been given the love and protection that she needed. A family member sexually assaulted Tiffany, and her parents struggled personally (Walden University, 2022). After Tiffani moved out of her house, she met Donald, commonly known as her pimp. Tiffani has endured several acts of abuse from Donald (Walden University, 2022). On the other hand, Tiffani still desired to be in his presence since he had been the first individual she felt was genuinely interested in her. Because of her legal issues, Tiffani was assigned to a court-mandated course for adolescents, which happens to be the first program of its kind (Walden University, 2022). Finally, Tiffani's struggles with substance misuse have also been reported (Walden University, 2022). Seeking Safety, a program focusing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), could benefit Tiffany. The program in question supports those who have battled drug misuse in addition to having experienced trauma. The course of study allows individuals to grow more comfortable and acquire transferable skills to assist them in the coming years (Najavits, 2015). Tiffani could find these things valuable, considering the circumstances. Literature Review The prevalence of sex trafficking is much higher than is often acknowledged. Many people are impacted by the severe problem of sex trafficking, particularly young women. In most instances of sex trafficking, victims are coerced or coerced into engaging in sexual behaviors against their will. Women want to feel protected after experiencing that. One program called Seeking Safety was created with such a purpose in mind. Seeking safety is relatively safe for women who have
experienced significant trauma, such as sex trafficking, according to research carried out on one hundred sixty women to assess its efficacy (Najavits, 2015). Through methods including psychoeducation and the acquisition of coping strategies, the Seeking Safety program helps women heal from substance misuse and become secure again after enduring trauma (Najavits, 2015). Thirty-three outpatient teenage girls who fulfilled all program requirements for admission were included in another research (Najavits et al., 2006). All of them received diagnoses of drug misuse and PTSD. Given the nature of the undertaking, a decrease in the number of participants was necessary. Additionally, seeking safety addresses the twenty-five issues of mental, behavioral, and interpersonal domains and helps with coping abilities, as previously indicated. The research assesses participants' improvement before, through, and following study therapy. Over three months, the female participants took part in twenty-five sessions. Social workers might assess the program's effectiveness and make necessary additions or deletions. According to Najavits et al. (2006), social workers may assess whether the coping skills provided are still valuable outside of classes. Another research by Paltz et al. (2015) included twenty-four young women whose drug misuse and trauma histories had been verified by mental health specialists. These ladies willingly took part in the initiative called "seeking safety." These ladies were divided into two sections and given twenty-four sessions, each with a different focus. The outcomes demonstrated that the number of trauma symptoms, such as scenes from the past, had decreased in both groups of women (Paltz et al., 2015). Methodology

While analyzing the seeking safety model, there are numerous things to consider. Considering Tiffani's circumstances and the potential advantages of the model, the AB design might be the most appropriate single-subject design. In order to track Tiffani's development from the beginning of the intervention until its conclusion, the AB design includes both an international phase and a baseline (Dudley, 2020). In order to examine results on a broader scale, a larger number of samples of a minimum of twenty people is required; one can't depend on results solely on Tiffany's sample. Evidence of trauma, substance misuse, and PTSD must be established in order to be eligible. Mental health clinics may use some form of promotion to get people to learn more about the research and join the program. Physicians or mental health specialists might recommend the study and treatment for those who could be eligible. Setting and Intervention Seeking Safety desires that its clients experience safety. Although a safe place will host the event, what constitutes secure for one individual might not be for another. The option to select the location of their preferred sessions will be provided to participants. It might be conducted virtually if the client so desires, as well as in the client's house and other nearby locations. Every session will include collecting all data when using the AB design. For Tiffani's safety, a pre-assessment will be carried out, and with the social worker's assistance, she will find some coping techniques. In order to verify that the intervention being used is successful, the social worker will eventually start to gauge its efficacy. Tiffany will attend classes once a week for a total of twenty-four weeks, and six weeks will not pass before the social worker assesses the effectiveness of the sessions. The social worker will track Tiffani's progress in using her learning coping skills and whether her issue has started to lessen. After six months, Tiffani will undergo
additional sessions to make sure she continues to perform well. Tiffani will additionally be allowed to book additional appointments if she thinks they are necessary. Expected Results Tiffani will have acquired strategies for coping, her post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms will have diminished, and she will cease to be addicted to drugs shortly after fulfilling the 24 weeks or 24 sessions. In conclusion, Tiffany will ultimately know that Donald is not an appropriate match for her. She will additionally gain insight into how to employ coping mechanisms whenever she becomes overwhelmed, preventing her from reverting to previous undesirable behaviors, which include drug use. Clients are able to discover what it means to feel and be safe by using Seeking Safety (Najavits, 2015). Tiffani will be able to identify the moment that she is no longer comfortable in an environment or setting and take appropriate action to leave it.
