4-2 Module Four Responses 2
4-2 Module Four Responses 1. Mark believes that people who create apps restricting or changing interaction with social media might be interested in his research. Think about the research you've collected so far. What are some potential applications for this research in the real world? In other words, what are some ways that this research could be used? The research that I have collected could be used to further understand the implications of systemic racism. Knowing the impacts could derail previously upheld legislation and institutions that leave non-white individuals at an economic and educational disadvantage. This could also support the establishment of programs to ensure equity for all individuals in our society. Addressing ways to combat systemic racism in media can also be effective in producing change.  2. On the previous page, you identified possible applications of your research. Research whether anyone has investigated or created those applications. Note your findings here. There have not been any exact applications of my research, but there are many instances in which researchers have investigated my issue and its impacts. Many researchers propose ideas to resolve this social science issue, but there is not a widespread enactment of these ideas as of yet to determine if they would be effective.  3. After reviewing your initial list of questions, are there any that you have yet to answer by searching credible sites and gathering C.R.A.P.P.O. approved sources along the way? Make a note of those questions here, as well as your plan for answering them. There are so many resources analyzing my social science issue due to its relevancy, 3

4-2 Module Four Responses especially as of recent, that I have been able to consistently answer my questions I have had while researching. As I continue to research, I found myself narrowing my focus even more, but I am still able to find substantial information to answer and support my questions.   4. Edit the response to give your answer (YES or NO), and then briefly explain why. Yes, because the site has substantial material. This source gives information about social media users as a whole and not one single group.  5. Edit the response to give your answer (YES or NO), and then briefly explain why. No, because this source is based off of one study about "selfie" taking. It does not have substantial information to support its argument. The focus on this aspect is too narrow to answer Mark's question.  6. Write a research question for Mark. Please note, there is no one correct answer. How does limiting social media use effect the well-being and development of teenagers?  4
