2 Episode 1 of Michelle's podcast "Higher Ground" Question 1 Michelle Obama and her Husband had some childhood differences. For instance, Barack Obama was raised by a single mum with the grandparents, and they lived in harmony although life was tough. The Obama family was middle-class, so the community was helping him, and he worked in the neighborhood. On the other hand, Michelle Obama was born when her mother was still in school and raised by both her father and mother. She was reared on the South Side of Chicago in a one-room apartment. Her father was a precinct captain for the Democratic Party and a city pump operator. She was a secretary at Spiegel who eventually stayed at home to care for Michelle and Craig, Michelle's older brother. The family had a reputation for being a close-knit one that ate, read, and played games together. Question 2 She claims she fell in love with Barack Obama because of his good looks and thought he was cute. She says, "We are each other's brothers and sisters keepers, and that's one of the reasons I fell in love with you." And that's the way I was brought up. My morals—in terms of what I believe to be my responsibility, Michelle Obama—are that it is not sufficient for me to be successful on my own. Question 3 Michelle left the legal profession in 2008 to focus on her husband's presidential bid and the current government. She now spends more time caring for her daughters and concentrating on her duties as a first lady.
3 Question 4 Making a difference in your neighborhood improves the lives of your friends, family, and neighbors. There is no better time to start mending problems in your neighborhood than right now if you look around or notice that there are many of them. One method to give back to the community is to assist the less fortunate. Another way to deliver in the community is by offering advice and training to the youth. For example, Obama said that today young people are under pressure to get it all, so it will be important for youths to get some guidance. Participating in community development projects is another way to give back to the community. Question 5 I concur with the Obamas that modern youth are under pressure to "have it all." They make poor decisions due to the pressure to fulfill their goals. If they wish to affect change in the world, young people, according to Barack Obama, should reject pessimism and engage with others who hold different opinions. Question 6 I am not cynical of the government, and the reason is that Modern cynicism shows up as annoyance, disappointment, and mistrust of institutions, authority, and other facets of society (Citrin & Stoker, 2018). Politics is the one arena where such feelings are most intense. Question 7 Institutional and structural reforms are closely related and essential for developing impoverished nations. However, each nation faces unique issues. Providing education may have a positive impact on the neighborhood.
