2 OPTION 2 Ainsworth, Bowlby, and Harlow's attachment theory highlights the significance of early, stable relationships for a child's psychological and social development (Garrett, 2023). So, it is essential to make wise decisions while arranging for an 8-month-daycare old. There are a variety of ways to provide care for a child, each with its own set of pros and downsides. Some families choose to have one parent remain at home, while others hire outside help or depend on relatives. The primary caretaker in an infant's life, usually the mother, quickly becomes a significant figure in the infant's emotional development. As a result of this connection, the child feels safe enough to go out and discover new things, make friends, and start new connections (Garrett, 2023). So, it might be helpful for a parent to remain at home with their child to foster connection. Nevertheless, not everyone has this choice, and there are potential negatives including the caregiver being isolated and the child missing out on new experiences. Another alternative is a daycare, where children may benefit from socialization, education, and exposure to new situations (Matarma et al.,2018). It may be challenging to select a daycare suitable for the child since the quality of care varies greatly. When a child's schedule or caretakers are constantly shifting, it might be difficult for the child to form attachments to those people. A nanny may provide a child with more consistent, one-on-one care and supervision. Nevertheless, a nanny may not be subject to the same requirements as a certified childcare center; thus, it is crucial to thoroughly evaluate and pick a skilled and trustworthy caregiver (Sekeráková Briková, 2019). It is possible for a member of the child's extended family to offer loving and familiar care, but a professional caregiver will have the tools and training to ensure the child's safety and well-being.
3 The family's requirements and circumstances best determine care for an 8-month-old infant. To ensure the child's healthy emotional and social development, however, a parent or caregiver must place a premium on fostering a solid bond and providing reliable, high-quality care.
