Witnessing Report Schuttloffel Cooper April 12, 2023 Witnessing Report EVAN 101-00? Part one- What were the circumstances surrounding your conversation with the unbelieving person when you presented the gospel to him/her . I was at the gas station filling up my car and had noticed that there was a man who had asked the lady next to me for $5 for his car because he didn't have any money for gas and she turned him down in a very rude way, at first I thought to myself I hope he doesn't come over and ask me because I judged a book by its cover and figured that he didn't actually need the $5 for gas but was probably just trying to get some extra money. When he came up to me and asked he told me a little bit about the struggles he was having right now and that he had just gotten in a fight with his wife and she kicked him out of the house and he was sleeping in his car. After determining that he wasn't lying and that he actually just needed someone to help him I told them $5 isn't going to get you very much gas nowadays so I'll just fill your car up. he was extremely grateful and told me that he didn't want me to spend that much money but I told him that I was raised to help those who need help and to treat people like Jesus would. After we talked for a little bit I asked him if I could pray for him and he said he's not religious but he would still let me pray for him. I asked him about his faith, and he said he didn't really have any he knew about the Bible and about Jesus but never really got into any of it. Part Two- What was the reaction (questions/comments/statements) of the unbeliever? after I prayed for him I told him that Jesus loves him and that me being here at this gas station today wasn't a coincidence but it was the work of God. I began to tell him how God works in mysterious ways and we'll always love everyone no matter what their past is like. he then began to tell me how grateful he was for my help And that he wishes he could repay me and I told him he can by reading his Bible and passing on the love that I've shown him here today. Part Three- What did you do/say to the person in light of the person’s reaction to your presentation of the Gospel? after we talked I gave him some Bible verses to read he told me that he didn't have a Bible and I wish I had one I could have given him but I didn't at the time so I showed him on his phone where to find scripture and asked him if he could look up a verse for me the verse was Ephesians 4: 32 and this first says be kind to one another tender hearted forgiving each other just as God in God in Christ also has forgiven you. As for his reaction he was very thankful then listened to everything I said and I think this was his way of showing how grateful he was for my help. I'm hoping the conversation we had stuck with him and got him to think about How much the Lord loves each and every one of us but as professor Wheeler always says it is our job to plant the seed and I'm hoping that happened in this Encounter.
