W09 Study: Elder Bednar and Elder Cook Life and Testimony of Elder David A. Bednar Elder Bednar and his devoted wife had three boys. I agree with his sons that he is brave, but only if he can back it up with solid evidence. This is hilarious because I often think the same thing when I hear him talk or read something he has written. He doesn't hesitate to share and voice his opinions. It's basic, which is, in my opinion, the finest method to educate, and it seems to be helping him. It is quite touching that he could baptize his father following his mission. It serves as a reminder that if we live moral lives and set a good example, others will observe us. He has also taken the time to sit down with his wife multiple times, allowing others to ask them questions and learn from them. I think it's amazing that he took this action. They would make the time to do that for us. Word Count: 156 Testimony Paragraph What an inspirational story. Because we are carrying out the will of Jesus Christ, we must act in his name. We do His work in His name, which is an incredible fact. If we begin to watch the things that are done in the name of Jesus Christ. This includes offering the priesthood, receiving blessings, praying to the sacrament, and making extra promises. We do a lot of things in the name of Christ because we are his true church here on earth and we are required to act in his name. It motivates us because, if we are diligent in everything we do in the name of our Savior, we will be able to recognize His impact more obviously, which will bring us closer to both Him and our Heavenly Father. With the way the world is going and Satan trying everything he can to pull us down, it would be wonderful if we could think of Christ more often than we can right now. Word Count: 166 Life Paragraph for Elder Quentin L. Cook My life has been profoundly impacted by Elder Quentin L. Cook, who is a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. His unwavering commitment to both seeking God and helping other people is one of the aspects of his life that strikes me as particularly commendable. He instructs us on how to live as disciples and challenges us to seek God, help others, and share our experiences with others. His dedication to leading people to a saving relationship with Christ and his example of selfless service serves as an inspiration to me. His teachings have reminded me of the importance of cultivating a relationship with God in my own life and of the joy that can be found in assisting those around me. Elder Cook has also discussed the power that comes from obeying the teachings of Jesus Christ in several talks and has written extensively on the subject. He reminds us that Jesus Christ and His restored gospel are the finest options when making crucial decisions. I am grateful for his example as well as the teachings he has imparted, as they have inspired me to seek God and to serve others. Word Count: 254 Testimony Paragraph The teachings of Elder Cook on dedication and self-sacrifice have also been important to me. He asserts that we can give the Redeemer our entire selves through the processes of sacrifice and consecration.
This says that if we want to find harmony in our lives and if we want the Savior to take us up into heaven, our devotion to Him and His teachings cannot be casual or intermittent. If we want to find harmony in our lives and if we want the Savior to take us up into heaven, we need to follow His teachings. We, like the widow in Jerusalem, must present all of ourselves to Him as an offering. No matter how insignificant a role any of us may play, the effort we put out must originate from the deepest part of our beings. One of the many things that we do is to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. The Redeemer is the inspiration for everything that we do. He is not a stopover along the way for us. No one can approach the Father except through Jesus Christ, who is the one way, the truth, and the life. I am grateful to Elder Cook for the lessons he has taught about sacrifice and consecration. It says the same words Jesus spoke to his apostles before his Ascension, he says to us today: "Go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to every creature." We are called to spread the Good News of Jesus to all the world: to share the love, mercy, and presence of God with all those who are unaware of this reality. As a result of his teachings, I am inspired to follow in his footsteps and consecrate my entire life to the Lord, making Him the focus of everything I do and sharing the love, mercy, and presence of God with all those who are unaware of this reality and preach the gospel to everyone.
