Old Testament Essay II The Old Testament had different stories from different characters who played an important role during that time and were prophets of God who has to go through different phases and struggles in their lives for them to be able to accomplished and follow God’s word and be the ones to spreads God’s word. The purpose of this paper is to figure out and discuss a part of the character’s story could relate to a particular problem that I personally struggle with such as Moses’ story and include how God has or is rescuing you and how God is asking you to respond to him. Moses’ story is a story full of suffering, pain struggles, deceptions, disappointments, and trials where his faith and trust in God was tested. Moses was a prophet of God who had to help people and convince them that God had a plan for all of them and that will be better somewhere else rather than Egypt where they needed to leave (Sardar & Nasir, 2021). The problem that I have struggled with that can related to Moses’ story is when my word was in question and there was doubt about my actions and I was accused of something that I did not do and I was wrongly judge by it by my own sister and she made false accusations about me. I felt so lost and I was so scared and afraid that nobody would believe me even though I was telling the truth. Moses at the beginning was questions and put his word through different test because it was difficult for the people to believe that he has spoken to God and that his word was the truth and that he was not lying about the promise land. Moses had to be patient and not lose his faith and hope that God would guide him and show him the way to help and serve those who needed him (Sardar & Nasir, 2021). Through that difficult time, I kept praying to God and asking him to help me and show me the path that I should take because I felt so lost and that everyone would believe my
sister over my word even though I did not do anything that my sister was accusing of. When I felt the most hopeless, I got a call from my mom and she said I believe you that’s all I needed to hear and I strongly believe that was God’s way to show me that he heard my prayers and was there to rescue me and help me through it. God was asking me to not lose faith and keep believing in myself because God was witness that I was wrongly accused and that I can still push through it no matter how difficult and hard it seemed at that point. God has always show up for me when I need it the most in different ways by putting me in the right place at the right time or when I have crossed path with certain people at the right. Gods time has always been perfect in my time of need and that is how I have found my way back knowing that my pain and suffering it is temporary and placing my faith and trust in God’s hand.
