After this course I can say that I have learned a good bit of doctrine that will be beneficial
to both my personal faith and then to my field of study. The reason it is beneficial for my I am going into youth ministry and understanding the certain concepts like the ideology of a sinful nature is good to understand to help clearly convey the story of the gospel and further students in
their understanding of the Bible. Then to coincide with Sinful nature, learning fully the doctrine of salvation is great for personal understanding and then also with youth ministry aspects, because knowing how to convey the subparts of salvation like justification or sanctification helps
to show kids to understand how, through justification, we as Christians are fully changed in the eyes of God because of Jesus’ sacrifice and salvation. Alongside that we are still met with the problem of a sinful nature so we have to walk along the life Jesus represented for us to be aligned with God in a relationship as close as we can even though we are going to mess up. Personally, I gained a lot of knowledge of the denominations and separate beliefs about certain ideologies. Being able to convey the knowledge of sin and the promise of salvation can serve as powerful motivators for kids in the youth group to strive for a relationship with God. Believing that there are consequences for sinful actions and that salvation is attainable through virtuous living can inspire you to make choices that grow you closer to your creator and strengthen your faith to a deeper level than you had before. It was very beneficial because I could see where I align with some denominations in some areas and then disagree with in others and it was super beneficial to understand where I stand in my personal beliefs and how I can back up what I believe through my relationship with God and in the word. Then understanding the studies on the
rapture and the views on what it is and what comes along with it highlights how crucial spiritual preparedness is. Understanding the potential nearness of the rapture might spur believers to uphold a solid relationship with God, live in accordance with the precepts of their faith, and give

priority to their spiritual development. It was also interesting to understand the different views that come with the rapture like predestination because it is interesting to try and uncover pieces in the Bible where God has left for us to piece together. Overall I deepened my personal faith and
understanding of theology while preparing myself with doctrinal views that I will have to explain
to students in youth ministry.
