The two strategic objectives that stood out to me as I read CCU strategic priorities, we are to honor Christ and share the love of Christ with others and be seekers of truth, in our reading
throughout this course we have read that the Bible is Gods truth which is the only truth and that we are to serve others and share Gods love with everyone. “As an act of love and obedience toward God (see Matthew 28:18-20)” (Session 5 Biblical Perspective 2023). “Jesus even affirmed that caring for other people is the same as caring for God (see Matthew 25:31-46)” (Session 5 Biblical Perspective 2023),as stated in Mathew 25:35 “For I was hungry and you gave
me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me”(The holy Bible English standard Version 2001/2016). As we read in chapter 3 of Courage and calling we see where they talk about living in truth and to do so we must seek to know our true selves, as Smith states “To know ourselves and to be true to ourselves is actually nothing but being true to God” (Smith 2011 p 54). As we read the article in focus on the family what is a world view, by Tacket, it asks why does Biblical worldview matter: we read how important it is to know the truth of Gods word and to honor him in everything we do , we see it stated that “If we don’t really believe the truth of God and live it, then our witness will be confusing and misleading” (Tacket 2006). So is we want to know the truth and honor Christ and truly share Christs love with others we must be diligent in reading the Bible and applying Gods truths in all we do. I learned that CCU is a true faith-based college following Christs example in all that they do as it states in CCU mission statement “Our community of interdependent students, faculty, and staff seeks to honor and obey Jesus Christ, who is present in Spirit and speaks in Scripture, in order to advance God's purposes in the lives of every member”(Our Mission | Colorado Christian University (ccu.edu)(2023).

I have attended college in the past at other universities so I had a preconceived idea about
what it would be like to attend CCU other than it being a Christian college since the others were not, I have found since I started here that the staff are followers of The Lord and it reflects in the way they interact with me, I also have learned how the Bible reflects even in school work how you can look to it for answers on how to study, be a good student and how working on school work letting the spirit guide you makes the experience easier and more enjoyable, I am pursuing Biblical studies so I knew I would be learning about and applying the Bible in my studies I did not know that I would be applying them in all subjects which for me is an awesome added aspect
to my degree process since my main goal is to learn and grow closer to the Lord.
