REL 225 Study Group W02 05 5Discussions Study Group Initial Insights I found great inspiration in certain parts of our study materials, especially those discussing the ideas of agency and the Fall. These concepts relate deeply to Article of Faith 2, which says we'll be held accountable for our own mistakes, not for what Adam did.
These readings made me appreciate the importance of our free will, both before we
were born and while we were on Earth. They highlighted that being here is a sign that we chose to follow God's plan. One scripture that struck a chord with me is 2 Nephi 2:25-29. In these verses, Lehi talks to his sons about how life includes challenges, and God gave us the freedom to make choices. He stresses how important our choices are because they can lead to freedom and eternal life through
obedience or to captivity and spiritual death through disobedience. This scripture shows how valuable our ability to make choices is, and it reminds us that our decisions shape our future.
