Peter’s Three Godly Traits - 2 - Peter’s Three Godly Traits Peter was a fisherman by trade, but he grew into a gifted preacher and bold leader. According to the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, and Luke) that Jesus came to Peter’s house, where his mother-in-law was ill, this states that peter had a wife. He also had a brother named Andrew. Peter is known by several other names in the Bible. some of the names in the Bible that peter is known by is Simon. It's common for Bible characters to go by two names. use a nickname, or, like the Apostle Paul, to have one name in Hebrew and another in Greek. Peter was a pivotal tool in the early Christian church. He was one of Christ’s closest friends and a faithful disciple. Peter was also outspoken and fiery. It is believed by many in the Christian church that Peter was martyred by Emperor Nero in approximately 64 AD, following the Great Fire of Rome; Nero falsely accused the Christians of causing the great fire of Rome. In the Acts of Peter, an apocryphal text from the second century, it is recorded that Peter was crucified upside down, as he believed he was unworthy to die the same death as Jesus. The purpose of this essay is to know who Peter is in the New Testament was, and what are peter’s three godly traits. The three godly traits that Peter possesses are faithfulness, humility, and courage. How can teen’s display peter’s three godly traits. Peter, as recorded in the New Testament, was a pivotal figure in the early Christian church. He was one of Jesus' closest friends and a faithful disciple who showed unwavering faithfulness, humility, and courage. As Christian teens look to Peter for inspiration, they can reflect on the strength and grace of Jesus. That makes anything possible, and that God can use anyone. There are several ways for Christian teens to display Peter's three godly traits. To show faithfulness in their own lives. Teens should strive to maintain their commitments, be loyal to

To demonstrate humility, teens should be willing to learn from others, take correction and criticism gracefully, and give credit where it is due. Finally, to show courage. Teens should be willing to take steps out of their comfort zone, take risks, and stand up for what they believe in. By looking to Peter as an example of godliness, Christian teens can learn how to cultivate faithfulness, humility, and courage in their own lives. Throughout the Bible Peter shows his faithfulness; here are examples of Peter's faithfulness in the Bible. When Peter saw Jesus’s walking on water in Matthew 14:22-33, Peter was filled with such faith that he was the only one Jesus called to walk on the water to him. Peter had strong faith but displeased Jesus by acting rashly. Jesus was arrested by Juda in the garden of Gethsemane, the disciples asking Jesus if He wanted them to defend him with swords (Luke 22:49) American Standard Bible. Peter found forgiveness and peace when Jesus reunited with him. After Peter saw that Jesus' tomb was empty (John 20:1-10) American Standard Bible. Importance of faithfulness for Christian teens when we are a part of God's crowd; His traits of faithfulness become one of our characteristics. So, God's faithfulness not only describes who He is; it shows us who we, as His children, can become. Peter's faithfulness extends throughout generations. We can be confident in knowing that Jesus, was faithful to Noah, Moses, Job, Esther, Ruth, and so many others. God will be faithful to you. Practical ways to cultivate faithfulness in everyday life is to study what Scripture says about God's faithfulness (word studies, Bible studies, etc.). Worshiping God for His faithfulness. Notice, dwell on, and record evidence of God's faithfulness. Next, these are examples of Peter's humility in the Bible. Peter's humility was in his ability to recognize Jesus as the Messiah in (Mathew 16:13-20) American Standard Bible. He

Peter’s Three Godly Traits - 4 - was also the first one to put faith in Christ to the extent of walking on water (Matthew 14:22-33) American Standard Bible. When Jesus came to Peter to wash his feet, Peter resisted. Peter was a witness to Jesus' miracle of the great catch of fish; he knew he was standing in the presence of God, and immediately responded with humility. Importance of humility for Christian teens. Humility is the ability to allow God's love to overcome our hearts and minds so we can see other people's needs and sorrows. It enables us to let go of our self-absorbed ways and reach out to others. Humility is certainly a gift right from God in our interactions; it is especially important to develop this virtue in the teen years through young adulthood. We carry this grace with us through life. Practical ways to cultivate humility in everyday life. Spend time listening to others. Practice mindfulness and focus on the present; be grateful for what you have. Lastly, these are examples of Peter's courage in the Bible. “Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were younger, you used to gird yourself and walk wherever you wished; but when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will gird you, and bring you where you do not wish to go”. (John 21:18 ) from the American Standard Bible. “Now this He said, signifying by what kind of death [Peter] would glorify God" (John 21:19 )American Standard Bible. Peter and John boldly replied, "Whether it is right in the sight of God to give heed to you rather than to God, you be the judge; for we cannot stop speaking about what we have seen and heard" (Acts 4:19–20 ) American Standard Bible. The examples above reflect the importance of courage for Christian teens. Courage can manifest in the willingness to follow and trust God. To trust the unseen spiritual realities of our eternal relationship to Him as His loved child. When we sincerely turn to God and lean on Him for help, God does strengthen our heart. He expresses in us the capacity to do right, in whatever direction is needed. The infinite Love of an Unfailing
Peter’s Three Godly Traits - 5 - Spirit motivates and energizes us to take righteous actions and provides us with the strength to overcome any challenge. As followers of Christ, your life gives you the opportunity to build courage. It may be at school, work, or even the corner market — at some point, you'll come across a choice. Growing closer to God and maturing in your faith will help you overcome cowardice and compromise. It will push you toward courage. Practical ways to cultivate courage in everyday life. Meditate on, memorize, and speak out scriptures about courage. Develop the skill of listening for God's voice. Praying to God can help identify the fears that are holding you back from taking courage. Give them to God daily. Peter is one of the most prominent figures in the Bible and is known for his godly traits. He was a humble, loyal, and brave man who was devoted to serving God and his fellow man. His humility allowed him to be open and willing to learn from those around him, while his loyalty and bravery enabled him to remain steadfast and courageous in the face of adversity. Peter's humility demonstrated his willingness to serve others without expecting anything in return. He was humble enough to acknowledge his own weaknesses, as seen when he denied Jesus three times in the Garden of Gethsemane. Peter showed his willingness to learn and grow from his mistakes. His loyalty and bravery are demonstrated in his commitment to Jesus and the mission of the Christian faith. He was the first of Jesus' disciples to confess his belief in Jesus and was willing to go to the cross for him. Peter was the one who followed Jesus' lead and stepped out of the boat to walk on the water. The significance of Peter's godly traits lies in the fact that they enabled him to be an effective leader and disciple of Jesus. Peter was an example of humility, loyalty, and bravery that all believers should strive for in their lives. His example of faithfulness and courage in the face of adversity is a reminder of the power of God's love and grace. Peter
Peter’s Three Godly Traits - 6 - was a devoted follower of Jesus and a leader among the disciples. He was fearless, courageous, and unafraid to take risks for the sake of God’s kingdom. He was willing to make mistakes and learn from them. His faith and trust in God were unwavering. As a Christian teen, you have the same opportunity to live like Peter. You can choose to live with courage and faith in God, no matter what obstacles you may face. You can choose to take risks for the sake of the kingdom, trusting that God will be with you every step of the way. You can choose to make mistakes and learn from them, rather than living in fear of failure. Peter's life had a tremendous impact on the Christian faith. He was one of the most influential figures in the early church and his teachings, writings, and actions helped to shape the faith and spread the gospel message. His life was marked by courage and faithfulness, and he was willing to stand up for his beliefs even when confronted with persecution. Through his example and teachings, he showed the world how to live out the principles of Christianity. His legacy continues to this day, as his teachings and example continue to inspire many Christians and serve as a reminder of the importance of faith and service to others. Peter also impacted the Christian faith by saving the Christian from king Nero. Since the king famously blamed the Christian for the Great Fire of Rome, and which he was crucified upside down. Another thing that peter did that impacted the Christian faith was by being a pivotal figure in the early Christian church and being good friends with God. Peter also impacted the Christian faith by spreading Christianity after Pentecost and going to Palestine to spread the Christian faith to them and the word of God too.
