2 Module Four Activity Research Study: Organizational Wellness Programs: A Meta-Analysis Summarize the research study’s purpose . Your response should be about 25 to 50 words. A study analyzed the impact of workplace wellness programs on absenteeism and job satisfaction. The goal was to gain insights to help organizations create effective programs. Employee health and wellness are critical for job satisfaction and productivity. The study analyzed different factors to understand their effects on absenteeism and job satisfaction. It aims to provide useful information for organizations developing wellness programs to impact employees' lives positively. Describe the relevance of the publication dates of the citations referenced for the research study. Your response should be about 25 to 50 words. Consider the following: Are some of those cited sources recent (relevant to the date of publication)? After thoroughly analyzing the publication dates of all the sources cited in the study, it was determined that only a specific subset was deemed appropriate and applicable for the research being undertaken. This careful consideration was necessary to ensure that all data used in the study was relevant and reliable, ultimately leading to more accurate and valuable findings. Identify the type of claim the research study makes. Explain your response. Your response should be about 25 to 50 words. Consider the following: Is the claim frequency-based, association-based, or causal? According to the research study findings, individuals who take part in an organizational wellness program are likely to experience a decrease in absenteeism rates and an increase in their overall job satisfaction levels. This claim is based on an association between participation in the wellness program and positive outcomes in these areas rather than a direct cause-and-effect relationship. Describe the research method used in the research study. Your response should be about 25 to 50 words. Consider the following: Is the research method qualitative, quantitative, or mixed? The research methodology employed by the researchers in this study was quantitative. This implies that numerical data was utilized to describe and analyze the research findings. It is a widely accepted method for conducting research in various fields and ensures that the results are objective and accurate.
3 Describe the research study’s data collection method. Your response should be about 50 to 100 words. Consider the following: Possibilities for data collection include surveys, observations, interviews, archive review, objective or biological measures, or some combination of those listed. The data collected for the study consisted of archived employee records of all the participants involved. The study also considered the results of the participants' wellness programs, such as stress tests and other measurable assessments. All of these factors were crucial to obtaining a comprehensive understanding of the overall wellness levels of the participants. Describe the research study’s sample . Your response should be about 50 words. Include the following in your response: Sample size Sample characteristics Two sample categories were involved in the research study: absenteeism, with a sample total of 7,705 between ten companies included, and job satisfaction, with a sample total of 2,480 between seven companies. It is hard to conclude because many companies were excluded, and only a few more participated in the absenteeism survey. Describe one type of statistical analysis conducted in the research study. Your response should be about 25 words. One method of analysis is causal analysis. Researchers investigated the potential correlation between organizational wellness programs, employee absenteeism rates, and job satisfaction levels. Describe one limitation from the research study. Your response should be about 25 to 50 words. A limitation of the study was that only a few studies reported sufficient statistics such as subject totals, means, standard deviations, t-tests, R-values, or p-values needed to be included in the meta-analysis. Describe how this research study could be used in personal and professional practice . Your response should be about 25 to 50 words. Consider the following: How can the findings from this study be used by people in their work, in their personal lives, or to help others? This study could help in professional settings because it has researched the correlation between workplace wellness programs and the ratio of employees' job performance and attendance. But also, it could improve personal lives by encouraging those employees to change their lifestyles, unhealthy habits, and addictions and make better choices.
