Responsibilities For my career project research, I used career one stop website. Career one stop website has plenty of information for me to endure and think about before I just dive in to the career path. Child Services is an uphill battle that I'm willing to take on. There are plenty of avenues within this field of choice. I understand that social workers provide social services and assistance to improve children's and their families' social and psychological functioning. The goal here is to maximize family well-being and academic functioning. Social workers may also assist parents and family members to arrange adoptions and find foster homes for abandoned or abused children. The schools will further address problems such

as teenage pregnancy, misbehavior, and truancy among the social workers. Social workers may also provide advice and guidance to teachers as well. List 5 specific responsibilities or tasks of individuals in this position?  counseling clients regarding interpersonal issues and  conferring with family members to discuss client treatment plans or progress. To further elaborate on my duties as a counselor, I must evaluate potential problems in clients' homes or work environments, collaborate with other professionals to assess client needs, plan treatments, and evaluate individuals' characteristics to determine their needs or eligibility ( CareerOne Stop , n.d). In my role, I will be responsible for researching social issues, referring individuals to educational or work programs, and connecting clients with community or social service programs to meet their needs. Additionally, I will provide counseling to clients or patients struggling with substance abuse issues, collect necessary information, provide advice on health issues, supervise workers who provide services, and offer personal counseling to clients or patients. To become a licensed professional in this field, a bachelor's degree is mandatory. However, it's equally important to continue your education to maintain your license. Additionally, passing a third-party exam is also required to ensure you possess the necessary knowledge and skills. If you're a military member or spouse, you can obtain a temporary license while awaiting formal approval. However, to qualify for a license, you must hold a bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, or a related field. It's also preferred that you have experience in child welfare. This job requires flexible working hours, including evenings, and excellent written and oral communication skills. As a licensed professional, you'll be responsible for providing support and care to those in need, which is why it's essential to have the right qualifications and skills.
