It is to prevent the arbitrary use of power
and to ensure that all people are equal in status. We cannot have abuse of power as we have seen in times, but we must make sure that as it says: all men are created equal. This rule of law must be upheld. No one is above
the law and this is what this rule upholds.
This was a good answer and true. Consider also that God is no respecter of persons such that the law must treat all person equally to reflect the character of God.
