Section Describe the difference between "winner-take-all" and "proportional representation" systems. Which system do you prefer? The "winner-take-all" system is a system in which legislative seats are awarded only to first-place finishers. Voters do not directly vote for these electors, but votes go towards presidential and vice-presidential candidate teams for which the elector commits to. A "proportional representation" is a system in which legislative seats are awarded based on votes the party receives. More votes, more seats. The system I prefer would be a proportional representation system because it is an electoral system, and my votes are going towards the candidate. This system provides more representation for the candidate and their party.
