12/2/23, 9:25 PM Module 7 - Second Summative Exam: PHYS 102 Explorations in Physics - Oct 2023 - Online https://erau.instructure.com/courses/164880/quizzes/575407 1/11 Due Dec 3 at 11:59pm Points 100 Questions 25 Available after Nov 27 at 12am Time Limit 150 Minutes Instructions What is the second summative exam? The second summative exam tests your knowledge of the concepts introduced in the previous three modules (Modules 4, 5, and 6). As the current module (Module 7) introduces new topics that are not included in the second summative exam (but will appear in Modules 8 and 9 quizzes), you are encouraged to complete the second summative exam early in this module. What's on the second summative exam? The second summative exam consists of 25 multiple-choice questions drawn from test banks of similar questions. Therefore, no two exams are identical. The second summative exam is not a repeat of the Chapter Quiz problems. Instead, the summative exam assesses understanding of physics concepts, graphs, and simple problem-solving. How should you prepare for the second summative exam? Exam preparation suggestions include: Make sure you have read and understood the textbook Chapters 4, 5, and 6. Answer questions from the End-of-Chapter Questions sections (note that the End-of-Chapter Questions sections are different than the End-of-Chapter Problems sections). This is an essential step in preparing for this exam . The End- of-Chapter Questions sections emphasize understanding concepts and help prepare for the multiple-choice and true- false questions included in the summative exam. It's always a good idea before an exam to give yourself a practice exam using questions you have not previously seen (i.e., save some of the End-of-Chapter Questions for a practice exam). This simulates exam conditions much better than merely reviewing questions you have already solved. Overstudy! It's always better to walk out of an exam thinking "The exam wasn't as hard as I thought", than "I should have studied more." Exam Instructions Questions are presented one at a time. Use caution in navigating back to a previous question – answers are only saved by selecting Save or navigating forward to the next question. Time limit: There is a 2.5-hour time limit and at the end of the 2.5 hours, the exam will close and be automatically submitted for grading. You will get a notification pop-up approximately 10 seconds before time expires. If you leave the exam for any reason, the timer will continue and the exam will automatically submit when time is up. If you lose your internet connection, you may reconnect and return to the exam where you left off as long as time has not expired. If you encounter technical difficulties, please contact your instructor. Show Work submission: Within 30 minutes of completing the exam, you are required to upload a "Show Work" document through the Assignment that comes next in this module. The purpose of this document is to demonstrate the processes and steps you used to solve the questions on the exam. The answers on the show work document must match the Canvas Module 7 Electricity Second Summative Exam
