W13 Reflection: Blended Families and Single Parents
Please answer the following questions thoughtfully and thoroughly.
Why do you think many single women are choosing to have children even when they are not in a good relationship and may not even have a good job?
Many women have various reasons for choosing to have children, even if they are not in good
relationships or don't have good jobs. One possible reason is that they may have failed to use proper birth control methods or may not have had access to effective contraception. Another reason is that they may believe that having a baby will strengthen their relationship with their
partner. Additionally, some women may feel a sense of unfulfillment and a desire to find purpose and meaning in their lives and see motherhood as a way to achieve this. Whatever the reason, it is a deeply personal decision that should be respected and supported.
How is James 1:27
relevant to the issues in this lesson?
According to the scriptures, true religion is not just about following rules and going to church on Sundays but about doing God's will and living a life of compassion and kindness. This includes caring for those who are most vulnerable and in need, such as the Fatherless and the Widows, during their times of affliction and tribulation. As true followers of God, it is our duty
to meet their needs discreetly and respectfully without seeking recognition or reward. It is also comforting to know that, just like our Heavenly Father is close to women who are single and have fatherless children, He will always be there for us and love us unconditionally, no matter what challenges we face in life.
