1 Disposition Essay Dustina Buegel Grand Canyon University UNV-108 Thomas Christner December 10, 2023
2 Disposition of an effective teacher Have you ever seen an employee or teacher that makes you ask, “How might have this person come about receiving this job?” Most school facility members must be able to display certain characteristics such as respect, equality, and professional conduct. A generous portion of these characteristics are ethics with a focus of responsibility of your professional competence and the responsibility to school and community. Good effective teachers display good qualities including empathy, relating with students, and dedication. Teachers are sometimes one of the most underappreciated jobs a person can have. Professional Dispositions of Learners The professional disposition of learners is mostly important to the education field and life because that standard should be used. Respect for diversity is what all teachers should do in a disposition. Most students are from a lot of divergent backgrounds and families, and upbringings. Being able to recognize these differences honoring them will make students comfortable in class (Cornwell & Stoddard, 2006). Application of Model Code of Ethics for Educators In most recent years, I have experienced many things that have fallen into the category of good conduct and might have also been considered unethical which might relate to the model code of ethics. Ethics says that the responsibility to your school and students involves a lot of community to maintain healthy relationships. ( NASDTEC, 2015). Often, the lines could be blurred between being a mentor and a friend. I have had friends that speak out about things like these. I do not believe they were following the code of ethics in that story. A valuable teacher applies all codes to her instruction in their daily life and maintain integrity. Skills, Traits, or Attributes of Effective Teachers Many students do not get the help they need because the Teacher does not want to advocate for their student getting special services. Arriving at work on time and as often as shows dedication to the profession and to educating future leaders. Every teacher brings different skills, traits, and attributes to the room and this is what makes teachers stand apart but also be unified as one. Having a lot of empathy is part of the job, there are many ways of dealing with issues different from yours. Trying to relate to every student can be hard and trying on any one person. Educators must rally for their students and fight for them and see the bigger picture. Lots of students do not receive the help they need to get through to the end of their education. Trying to complete all work in an appreciative time can be challenging. Every teacher brings different skills, traits, and attributes to the room and this is what makes teachers stand apart but also be unified as one. Conclusion Prior to entering the classroom as a fist year teacher, I tied down every obstacle and every disposition. Knowing that it is possible for you to succeed and advance in your career is
