Thank you for your post. I enjoyed reading your response to the article, Ethical Issues. Your overall discussion on problem-solving, social work, and ethics presented some important information of the importance of understanding ethics as they apply to social work and the importance of this ethical understanding as applied to decision making. I agree with your conclusion that, despite how complex a professional dilemma may be, it is important to avoid compromising Social Work Ethics. As a social worker, I am glad that there are formats and steps to use when struggling with how to make the best ethical decision. `When referring to an outside source, you indicated that ethical practices are not always “cost-effective or time efficient.” Especially when there is an ethical dilemma you are facing in the professional arenas, going through the steps to ethical decision making can be very time-consuming. Despite the lack
of time efficiency, compromising the NASW Code of Ethics. Without these models, ensuring the best decisions are being made most of the time is difficult.

Hi! Thanks for your post; I found it thoughtful and interesting. I, too, enjoyed the NASW article on resolving ethical dilemmas. Also, the description of an ethical dilemma you resolved in
the workplace was a great way to demonstrate what your understanding of ethical dilemmas is and how the outcome was successful. You pointed out how ethical dilemmas do not always have black and white answers and the important thing is to measure ethical management and social work continuity between what social workers are expected to do and what is being done. Also, I can see how having some questions to help you and you are going through a difficult dilemma can be helpful. As a clinical social worker, I know I will deal with ethical dilemmas regularly and it is very important that I can lead in making sure that the ethics of the Social
