1.
What implications does the belief that we were created bearing the image of God
have on our understanding of psychological health and psychopathology?
The Christian worldview is based on the idea that God not only made the universe and
the world around us but also has a close relationship with each person's life through their
beliefs and ethics, which help them grow by having a good and godly attitude. The
world's faiths teach us things about God and how people look based on how they see
themselves and believe in God.
2.
Although your text presents the biopsychosocial view of health and
psychopathology, many Christians would argue that concepts such as sin, grace, and
redemption are missing from this view and are key to understanding personalities.
Do you agree or disagree?
Agree. Many deeply religious Christians are at least partly who they are because of their
faith. Many Christians would say that their sin, God's grace, and being redeemed have
changed who they are and how they act over time. In theory, if someone becomes a
Christian and tries to be more like Christ, they should change at least a little bit as a
person.
3.
What content did we learn in this course that challenged you the most?
I'm not sure whether there was anything in particular that I found difficult; nonetheless, I
would state that I found the entirety of this course to be valuable and educational. The
most exciting part was learning about the various disorders, behaviors, and triggers.

How does studying psychology deepen your understanding of what it means to be
created in the image of God? How can you apply this in your life?
Psychology is a long-established field of study that examines human behavior. It
considers how people have experienced things. God gave humans the ability to think, act,
and feel when he created them. God is the creator of each individual person. It is a sign
that a person is an active agent of God if they are engaged in the practice of psychology
and are active in the field. Being created with unique characteristics means being made in
God's image, which indicates that men and women were given distinct attributes during
creation. They are unique in their thinking, the way they act, the power they wield, and
the feelings they experience. They were made differently than everyone else, and God
allowed them to talk to him. God alone is the source of life for all living things, including
humans. The will and a purpose in life are both gifts from God to each individual person.
