1.
Write a reflection paragraph of five-six sentences about the commitment that you were working
to implement this week. Some ideas of what to include in this paragraph include writing about
successes you had in keeping the commitment you made for this week, key strategies and
ideas we learned about this week, or where you have seen changes in your life due to building
more emotional strength in the Lord.
My current goal that I have been working to implement this week is reading four pages of The
Book Of Mormon every day of the week. I have been accomplishing this goal with little to no
hang-ups. I feel my commitment has made a significant impact in my life, as I have an
increasingly strong testimony in the Church, which only grows stronger as I progress through
The Book Of Mormon. I have seen significant changes all around through my time
management, as I need to manage time properly to read as much as I can. Commitment, as I
have made a major commitment to read the entire scriptures, and my strength and testimony
have only increased.
2.
Write a commitment statement for next week about a strategy you learned this week or in a
previous week that you will implement next week. Include an explanation of why you are
choosing this commitment.
My next commitment is fairly simple but is one that can prove to be satisfactory in my
testimony, commitment-keeping goals, and health, and that is to walk to the temple every day
and read a scripture while I'm there. This is a temporary goal while I reflect and think deeply
about what I should improve on and change, which will give consideration to what my next goal
should be based on my experiences this week. I have the fortunate opportunity to currently
reside only a block away from the temple, making my new goal satisfactory. Reading the
1
scriptures every day as my previous and continued goal has been more than sufficient for
building strength in the Lord. But being at the temple is another motivator goal that is highly
important as the temple is the most holy place on earth. While at the temple, I will reflect, read,
and think about God. Making my goal sufficient for my next to come.
