Parable Analysis: The Good Samaritan
There are many parables throughout the Gospels, and they teach us a lesson on a blessed reality to enhance our lives. Through these parables, we can discover our passions and our purpose. My favorite one to many people is the parable of the Good Samaritan. The author, a physician named Luke, narrates a story about Jesus and His love for people. The Samaritan represents a neighbor of a specific community, and for this essay, we will call him your neighbor.
What is the Primary Teaching of the Parable?
Located in the Gospel of Luke chapter 10 is the parable of the “Good Samaritan.” Most ministers and even non-believers use this parable to emphasize the importance of showing compassion to others. Specifically those we do not know or might be disinclined to assist (Rigdon, 2019). This parable's essence is that we must love others the way we want to be loved. Wenham & Walton state that it demonstrates to the reader who their neighbor is and what passionate love for God and our neighbor should be like. This parable talks about an unknown person who found another unknown person badly beaten and left for dead on the side of the road.
Despite their differences, this stranger, a Samaritan, cleaned up the man's injuries and bandaged him. He placed him on his horse, took him to the Inn, and paid someone to look after him. This was extreme love, one that Jesus was so desperate to teach.
What does it say about the Kingdom, Kingdom ethics, or Kingdom Discipleship?
On Earth, as it is in heaven, is what our payer should always be. Kingdom is used to describe the realm where God has authority. It is to be used when discussing a family structure that connects with one another, with the same values and beliefs. ‘Our Kingdom’ indicates that we are the church body; this points toward a daring set of standards that are expected in loving one another. We are teaching new believers, instructing them on God's word, and having come back and do the same thing. This parable is the personification of the Kingdom ship, where we Reveal to others what it is like to include everyone in this family. We have learned from Jesus’ own narratives of the kingdom that, from an earthly outlook, it converts worldly values and

significance inside out. We see that in God’s kingdom, the poor are rich, the mourning ones shall be comforted, the weak are powerful, and mercy givers, peacemakers, and those being oppressed
will inherit the earth (Matthew 5:3-12).
How does its structure factor into its Message?
The Good Samaritan parable explains how we should show mercy to those around
us, much more towards our adversaries. The story's message is that we should always help those around us who are in need, despite the situations in which they find themselves. The narrative outline of the story impacts the spreading of this message by revealing how the Samaritan helped
the individual even though this person was considered an adversary. The ethical story of the narrative is ultimately communicated through the generous action performed at the end. This parable is not about Jesus himself but rather about someone who demonstrates compassion towards others, even if they are not the same as them (Soup Kitchen, 2023).
How does this parable fit into Luke’s overall Gospel Message ?
God sent Jesus to save sinners, and Luke was one of those sinners saved by the perfect life and substitutionary death of Jesus, the Messiah. However, though he never saw Jesus personally, it is obvious that his life was profoundly converted by the messages he received from those who had. Luke is desperately interested in showing others this way of life that he has known. The lessons we can take away from this parable are seen throughout Luke’s writings. Come to the aid of all those who need it without asking, regardless of race or ethnicity. That should never matter; always be kind and do it without expecting something in return. This parable is a challenge to all who read it to live a better life.

Luke’s love story is written with all narratives of Jesus's life, including His life and death experience. Also, by then, Jesus had been performing public appearances and miracles, and it is believed that Jesus told this parable while He was on the way to Jerusalem (Rigdon, 2019). Luke's gospel excessively focuses on Jesus' journey to Jerusalem, taking up nine of 24 chapters. The “travel narrative” begins at Luke 9:51 and climaxes in 19:41 with Jesus' triumphal entry into
Jerusalem (Wenham & Walton, 2021). Luke 9:51 says, “When the days drew near for Him to be taken up, He set His face to go to Jerusalem.” This scenario explains that Jesus was on his way to
the cross and approaching his death. This parable background occurred while on the road to Jericho (Soup Kitchen, 2023).

Luke demonstrates his position for the poor and the marginalized, as well as the Samaritans and Gentiles, and emphasizes the depth of the community of Jesus (Wenham & Walton, 2011). Luke’s Gospel introduces an enormous variety of people. The original letter was meant for Theophilus, who was presumed to be a gentile convert who served in the Christian community established through Jesus' work (Rigdon, 2019). Contemporarily, it can be seen in the
hands of a diverse number of people, where all races and religions hold the teachings of Luke and Jesus close to their hearts. Luke's writings make people free+
147 daily, and the new believers are being transformed and becoming members of the Kingdom family.

Conclusion
Of all the parables, the Good Samaritan parable is the most requested and taught today. The quintessence of this writing and Jesus’s teachings is that we love others as we love ourselves, not considering religion, lack of it, background, or physical appearance. God’s love ‘[;P09I8U765ust dwell in us abundantly, and we must love as Christ did. Luke’s entire life had been radically transformed, and his goal was to share that with the rest of the world, not knowing
it would last for generations to come 2000 years later. No one knows the day or the hour, and we must explain the Blessed hope we have attained through Jesus Christ.
