Week 2 CMS Paragraphs Assignment PHILOSOPHY OF CLASSROOM MANAGMENT –
Explains methodology for student motivation
I have chosen the idea “The effective teacher offers both a product and a service”
to be included in my CMS Plan. (Wong & Wong, 89). Effective teachers offer more than a product; they offer a service, too. Effective teachers not only help students learn, they enhance the quality of their lives. This strategy could be used in a classroom by treating the students with the same courtesy and respect they expect for themselves. This service increases their effectiveness, and the effectiveness and potential of their students.
INSTRUCTIONAL STYLE AND STRATEGIES
– Describes intended styles of teaching
I have chosen the idea “Positive and negative expectations” to be included in my CMS Plan. (Wong & Wong, 49). An expectation is what you expect or believe will or will not happen. With that being said, if you believe in what you are teaching and you believe that every student can learn and that they will learn to their fullest potential, then you have positive expectations. If you have negative expectations then you won’t believe in what you’re teaching, you don’t believe that your students will succeed or even learn anything, you think that they will fail anyways. This strategy could be used in a classroom by having positive expectations, have an optimistic attitude and good things will happen in the classroom. If teachers have positive expectations for themselves then they’ll have positive expectations for their students. BROAD EXPECTATIONS FOR CMS – Demonstrates supportive, caring, and safe environment

Is the door clearly marked, is the first assignment clear and understandable, and are there clues that show you care for young people? All of these things can help your classroom be inviting.
