Week 1 discussion 1 Website one: https://www.standrewsschools.org/ about-us (Links to an external site.) St. Andrews Website two: https://earlyeducationpros.org/why- tender-care (Links to an external site.) Tender Care Identify the strengths of this organization’s philosophy, vision and mission. Philosophy : Provide an engaging and challenging learning environment that is designed to meet the needs and aspirations of girls and boys using a single-gender coordinate educational system for students grades k-12 and a play-based programs for the preschool students. Vision : Help children learn and grow, to do their personal best. Engage in the world and inspire to make it more humane and just. Mission : Educate the students in a culture of care, respect, love and service. Each child is encouraged to strive for the highest. Philosophy: Child development approach. Focus on child's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. Vision: Become the first and only choice for discerning, nurturing parents and teachers looking for an early child development and preschool home for themselves and their families. Mission: Help children prepare for a lifelong love of learning by providing each child a quality early care and educational experience. Discuss areas for improvement of this organization’s philosophy and mission in your opinion. I personally think this facility did a great job explaining what their philosophy, mission and vision is for the center. I don't believe they have any areas they need to improve in. Overall I believe this facility does give a good amount of information but they could improve on adding more information on their curriculum. I think if they make some small changes it can bring more parents in to wanting to be apart of this center. Childcare philosophy : We provide high-quality care and education for our little ones. We believe children learn best through play. Learning through play not only allows our children to build strong long lasting friendships but it also allows them to be creative and explore using their imagination.
Mission: Our mission is to provide the children with the education they deserve. We will focus on the development of the child while also encouraging mental and physical health. Vision: We want to create a fun and safe learning environment where the children will become successful adults in the future and will love to learn. Personally, I have never really created my own philosophy, mission or vision as if I were the director/administrator of a early childhood center, therefore this is all very new to me. The textbook Gadzikowski, A (2013) went into great details as to what these things are and how administrators use/create them. I think the textbook really helped me understand this topic a lot better. References: Gadzikowski, A. (2013). Administration of early childhood education programs. Offer them two strengths of their draft, as well as two suggestions for improvement. CASH WITHDRAW ? ; $505 Hi Kimberly, great post I really enjoyed reading it! I absolutely love your philosophy, especially that the facility is tailored to each child’s specific need. I think it’s important for parents to see that the educators that will be in charge of their child’s learning is going to be based on what their child needs specifically. What parents wouldn’t want that?! I think it’s important that you put that into your philosophy because that would definitely grab parents’ attention. Your mission and vision also include a great amount of information that talks a lot about how important children as individual are in your facility. My only suggestion would be to add a bit more about the curriculum of the facility but overall you did an amazing job!
Hi Jadiblake, great job on creating your own philosophy, mission and vision! I love that you included how you have a safe and welcoming environment I think this is very important for parents because a parent isn’t going to want to go to a facility that isn’t warm and friendly and will definitely not want to leave their child there. My only suggestion would be to add more information on the curriculum maybe giving some examples on what the hands-on experiences will be. I think parents would appreciate having an idea of what the children do while in your care and how you help educate them. Your vision and mission are very straightforward and I also think that is great.
