Everyone knows that when it comes to making a difference in a student's academic and life
achievements, their teachers play a large role. A teacher's way of relating to their students, and
teaching them to achieve both socially and academically contributes to how effective teachers are.
What does it mean to be an effective teacher? Overall there seems to be an emphasis that teacher
effectiveness is related to how well their students are doing based on standardized testing. As
teachers we know there is much more that goes into being an effective teacher then just teaching our
students based on tests. In this paper different definitions of an effective teacher will be addressed
along with how to assess teachers on being effective.

Farr (2010) says effective teachers should set big goals that are meaningful for their students and
measurable throughout the year. When a teacher invests their time into their students they show
motivation needed to reach their students needs at any level to make sure they reach the goals set for
them. Planning is essential and teachers must not just plan a lesson and move on with it, they have
to understand their students and have an idea of where their students are going and how best they
can help them succeed growth in the most efficient way. Being able to plan for each students
learning means also being able to change. Effective teachers should be able to observe their students
learning along the way and change whenever needed to ensure their students are continuing to
develop knowledge. Some students may need more time and different strategies used to reach their
goals. Teachers have to be prepared to take a step back, decide what the problem is and come up
with solutions and approaches that will help their students. Overall an effective teacher no matter
what concern, issue, difficulty or other obstacle may be in their way should be able to overcome
them, and find the strategy or strategies to reach each student to ensure that they can achieve those
big goals set for them. (Farr, 2010) In an article done by the National Education Policy Center
(2010), teachers should be looked at under three

Becoming a teacher can be an exciting and challenging experience for anyone. It can be quite
difficult to put four years of knowledge into their teaching and into a classroom environment. And
while it may seem challenging at first it does become easier over time.
A teacher is not only someone who teaches, but they are a symbol of learning.
A teacher is a person who plays the most important role in the development of any student. The
future of those students depends on the qualities and the dedication of that teacher. It is the teacher
who creates an interest in students to develop and to progress. It is the teacher who helps the
students achieve whatever aims they set for themselves.
Teachers have a lot to do with motivating

The curriculum then becomes more relevant, therefore the motivation for the students to accomplish
the tasks increases.
The subject matter not only has to be relevant but it also has to be stimulating to the students'
curiosity. If a student is bored with the content, they are not going to want to learn it.
The classroom also has to be seen as a caring and supportive place with a sense of belonging. Every
student must feel respected, valued and heard. Giving children the support for learning by
welcoming their questions and encouraging exploration is very important for teachers to do.
Extrinsic motivators are sometimes used when teachers have a student or class who feels like they
have earn't something for their hard work. This could be things such as stickers or stamps on their
homework and tests. Or it could be receiving verbal or written praise. It could be just the thing that
motivates certain students. But not all students need to be extrinsically motivated. Teachers need to
find out which type of motivation works best for which student to help them succeed.
Classroom teaching is more likely to be effective when it is informed by an understanding of how
students learn. Constructivism is the current approach to learning in Australian schools today.
Constructivism is how each student goes about constructing his or her own knowledge. This type of

During my time on the PGDE Course both in University based learning, and more evidently during
my Professional Practise placements, I have come to realise the significance of reflection within the
teaching profession. Not only does reflecting on best practise benefit the children's learning but also
increases the teacher's confidence and ability in making decisions and delivering lessons. 'Reflective
teaching is a great deal to do with facing such features of ourselves in a constructive and objective
manner which incorporates a continuous capacity to change and develop' (Moon, 2004).
Since embarking on the course I now question my own actions and assess the best alternatives to
develop my practise by taking constructive criticism from

'Reflective teachers need to be able to relate their findings to those of others and to consider results
in the context of the current debates about educational issues' (Pollard, 2008). Having a range of
theorist's viewpoints, tried and tested ways of teaching, and working with more experienced
professionals has furthered my knowledge and understanding. I do not believe teachers are required
to know everything there is to know about all subjects but will have more expertise in some subjects
than others. The subjects and topics which they have limited experience in will require a
professional commitment in order to research. This research ultimately builds teacher's knowledge
and understanding to plan more interesting and effective lessons. Curriculum for Excellence is
allowing teachers more flexibility to organise and deliver the experiences and outcomes in a more
effective way for learners. In delivering the various curricular areas I have become more confident
in subjects which I felt less confident in at the start of the course.
I have found that through additional reading I am better equipped to question and suggest methods
tried by others in professional disscussions. I found that attending In–service day training and
Continued Professional Development (CPD) sessions has increased my knowledge and
understanding allowing me to develop lessons which are more rewarding for the

Reflective Essay on a Good Teacher...
Reflective Essay: A Good Teacher...
Standard 1: Development, learning, and motivation–
A teacher has his or her own style or way of motivating their students. Motivation plays an
important part in a student's success of learning and development. There are times when teachers
spend more time with their students than most parents do, thus, a teacher is fundamental in shaping
their students success. If parents or teachers are poor leaders our children are the ones who are at a
disadvantage. When they shine as leaders our children blossom and the world is wide open to them.
As a future teacher it is of utmost importance that I make sure to find the best style of teaching for
the students I will be teaching in order for them to receive the

Not every child learns the same way, nor are they interested in the same things. In my fieldwork I
have noticed that it is becoming more difficult to keep the attention of twenty to twenty–five
children under the age of ten. Most of the students in the class were not really that interested in
researching or reading. When it came time to learn a new activity they would sigh and state that they
did not want to do any of the work. However, if a conversation was sparked about a new video game
they were all excited to converse about it. A good teacher must learn to incorporate everyone's
beliefs into the daily curriculum. All students must be aware of the differences in the world and
around them. Teachers have a lot of responsibility and need to make sure that they make learning a
positive experience for all. By being sensitive to the needs of everyone and presenting different
ways of doing things, it can be possible for everyone to have an equal opportunity to do their best.
Standard 3: Instruction– Differentiated instruction is very effective in the classroom. Teachers
should be well aware of how greatly students may vary in readiness, interest, and modes of learning.
Teachers need to work to adjust the classroom to the needs of subgroups of students. Cooperative
learning or student– centered instruction is not a new concept. Like direct instruction it has been

What makes a good teacher? Essay
In my opinion, a good teacher should be one who puts her heart into teaching. This is because only
by doing so will the students feel their passion and hard work. When a teacher strives hard for the
students, students will put in their effort as well. If a teacher dislikes her job, goes to classes in a bad
mood, her teaching would also be affected and students would not be able to enjoy lessons as well.
Another point that makes a good teacher would be his/her patience. Teachers should not get upset or
even worse, give up on the students who are not so strong in their studies. Instead, they should have
the patience to slowly coach them, give them extra lessons, and find different ways to encourage
them. Let them know that the teacher

It would be better if the teacher is able to find common topics to chat with the students. This would
let the students feel like they can relate better to the teacher.
"You must not give up. I want to let you know that even if you're facing so many problems, and feel
like there's no one to talk to, I'll be here for you. Everyone else might want to be the sun that lights
up your life, but I rather be the moon that guides you through your darkest hours. Let's strive hard
and work toward our goal together!" This was what my high school teacher told me 10 years ago
and I have remembered it until now, and will remember it for the next 10 years and so on.
I was once a problematic kid who mixed with bad company and flunk tests. I never thought about
what I was going to do the next day, what more when I grew up. Of course when I was younger, I
had lots of dreams. I wanted to set up my own company, I wanted to be a teacher, I wanted to be
able to drive an airplane and the list went on. But as the years went by, they became less
insignificant to me and soon, I forgot every single one of those dreams and goals. I got to a new
school and knew friends who smoke and took drugs. My grades started dropping from "A" to fails.
But I did not care. I could not be bothered by then. I went partying every night and got home drunk.
What was the point of studying? My parents are

Essay On High School Teacher
Secondary School Teacher Nelson Mandela, a famous South–African president, once said,
"Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world." Teachers can be the
people to inspire the next person to change the world. It is their job to bring out a different side of
students and help them become successful adults. A teacher can change the outlook of a student and
change the eventual outcome of the country. This career is important to society because the country
is dependent on the next generation, and without correct education the world could become very
corrupt. Teaching can be a very important job that requires adults to have special skills to complete

All states require teachers to have a bachelor's degree("Secondary School Teacher" 491). Teachers
can work in different types of environments which include: hazards, travel, and location. Teachers
can work in classrooms, science labs, computer labs, or machine shops. These environments usually
lack necessities for educating students. Some schools fund field trips once or twice a year and the
teacher gets to go along to supervise the students on this trip("

of this job is the stress the teacher must endure to complete their job("High School Teachers"). A
teacher must also spend a lot of their own time completing schooling activities to make a class as

the job, and this could cause harm to the teacher physically and mentally("High School Teacher").
The job of a teacher is very vital to the control of the country in future years. The job is growing and

Parents Are The Best Teacher Essay
Academic Writing Parents are the best teacher
No one can deny that parents are the best and first teachers. They were the fire who triggered our
learning skills; as they taught us how to walk, how to talk and later in our lives; they also have a
great role in the real world's teaching life experiences. Early in life, parents are the only people
known for their child, surrounding him or her with care and love, and of course giving him or her
too much time in order to teach them the early skills. Such as, talking, waiving, eating, walking and

problem what children did. What should we do as parents? All you need to do is talk "firm" not to

should we do as parents? No matter how great our love to children, never impose this kind of

Essay on Effective Teaching
Effective Teaching
Many individuals believe that being a teacher is an easy task. Our society believes that any person
can become a teacher. But experience has shown that not everyone is capable of being a teacher.
There are many personality traits that are required to be an effective teacher. The role that a teacher
provides for the students is very important to the advancement of general knowledge and higher
learning. An effective teacher has the power to shape and mold the lives of young children. They
have knowledge of their subject; are very organized and clear with their students; and they show
great warmth and enthusiasm.

"Teachers who provide clear presentations and explanations tend to have students who learn more."
(Woolfolk, 2004, p. 440) The teacher's lesson plans should be appropriate to the level of their
students and be very clear. The lesson plans also use multiple strategies of teaching so that all of the
students learn the material. It should state the objective and explain why the students are learning
the material. Demonstrations help the students to better understand hard material. "Excellent
communication skills are essential for effective teachers
." (Wendel, 1993, p. 52) Throughout the
lesson plan the teacher should stop and check for understanding in order to address any confusion or
difficulties the student may have. Repeating difficult ideas and stressing important points both help
students learn better. Being organized involves using time wisely. Knowing just how much time to
spend on a subject before moving on to the next is important. Effective teachers signal transition to
new topics and explain how the topics fit. They also grab and keep the student's attention and keep
them interested. They keep them involved in class discussions and call on students by their first
names. If the students are not interested in the material they will not learn anything.
Warmth and enthusiasm are two very important characteristics of effective teachers. Enthusiastic

Essay Best Teacher, Worst Teacher
Best Teacher, Worst Teacher
Although I have had many different types of teachers, there are two that stick out more than any
others. The first was my third and sixth grade teacher. She was the best teacher I ever had. The
second was my seventh grade teacher. She was the worst I think a student could have had. Both,
these teachers had very different teaching styles and very different out looks on teaching. To be an
effective teacher the teacher must respect the student and be willing to go the extra mile to help the
students learn all they can. In this paper, I will discuss the effectiveness of these two teachers and
how their teaching styles differed.
First of all, what is a good teacher

I hope that I do not become a teacher like this.
Now that I can see the difference in good and bad teaching I have two teachers in mind that fit each
description. The first being my favorite teacher. She was both my third and sixth grade teacher. She
showed me that I could be what ever I wanted to be. She made me feel that even though I was not
the best student in the class I still could be the best if I gave a little more. She motivated me to do all
my work and gave me the extra boost I need to learn. When the students in my class did something
right she always praised us. She also played game with us to learn. According to the book it says. ?If
the teacher keeps the students involved they will be more likely to like school and learn in school.?
The second type of teacher is and ineffective teacher. This type of teacher does not motivate or
enthuse their students to learn. My seventh grade teacher was this type of teacher. She was a cake
decorating teacher at the vocational center then became a math teacher overnight. At the begging of
class, every day she would stand at the board and say class be quiet class shut up. That's all she
would say the whole class and we never got anything done. Then if she would try to teach she would
read out of the book and never give examples. If a student would ask a question she would say you?
re not dumb you know the answer. The teacher always put the students down. According to

A Successful Educator Essay
The primary goal of an educator is to provide a student with the tools needed to accomplish lifelong
goals as an adult. Specifically, each teacher is charged the responsibility to equip a student with the
knowledge and skills that will contribute to his/her cumulative educational goals. All too often,
students do not come to school with an unconditional love of learning. The educators therefore, have
the ominous task of educating, motivating and coaching the often disinterested young person. Often,
the best teachers are those that find ways to connect with their students. They therefore, find ways to
encourage connections to the students short and long term goals. Many times, students do not find it
easy to identify goals. Younger

Students who are well taken care of and live in safe happy environments are therefore, better
equipped to succeed in a learning environment. Educators must be observant of the student's well
being and willing to facilitate intervention if a student is in distress. Teachers often have to make
difficult decisions to protect their students. By law if an educator suspects child abuse or neglect, it
must be reported to the proper authorities. There may be times when a teacher has to go against the
student's wishes to protect him/her but, the educator must consequently adhere to "what is in the best
interest of the child." A successful teacher of flourishing students is involved in the school
community. Many times their day is lengthened as they choose to become integrated into other
aspects of their students' lives. Teachers see other sides of students when they are willing to
participate in extracurricular activities. Interaction with their students in non–learning environments
thus, gives the educator additional tools to help in the educational process. Interactions such as this
allow teachers to take their students interests and integrate them into the classroom learning
environment. Learning should not be limited to the traditional classroom. Moreover, there are many
"teachable moments" that can be utilized outside the classroom. Team sports, student government,
debate team, etc. provides the

Strengths And Weaknesses Of A Good Teacher
One of the most essential exercises when in comes to professional development as an instructor is to
continually reflect on your perspective, methodology, instruction and behavior within your
profession. Doing so ensures that you are growing and improving your teaching skills by building
on old strengths to benefit you as an instructor, but especially by ensuring improvement in the
students that you serve.
What is a good teacher?
"What the educator does in teaching is to make it possible for the students to become themselves."

could relate a number of teaching style to her needs. One such method is the communicative method
of teaching. This is an anthropological approach that situates the learners in a real environment and
its use based. The International Teacher Training Organization recognizes this approach and has
converted it into a method. The goal is to reduce teacher talk time and up student talk time in a
series of two–practices with one communicative activity. Again the goal is for the student to not
only talk and "do the learning", but to have practical use of the language. The role of the teacher
becomes a monitor. According to Cabj and Nikolic "teacher is to help students identify and achieve
their own educational goals and an element necessary for the future success is the ability to
communicate and cooperate with others." For Abby, especially as a more introverted learner, having
a teaching methodology that allows a student to direct their learning and provide opportunities for

My Favorite Teacher in History
In my school there are many teachers. Each one teaches us different subjects. Although all of them
are fairly good, there is one teacher whom I love and admire the most. Her name is Mrs. Grace Gilo.
There are some teachers, who hardly ever make an impact on, or touch someone's life for the better.
Some just go through life teaching. But there are some that change a person's life, for the better. She
was the kind of person that everyone loved. She never asked too much, or expected too much. She is
the most pleasing personality that I have ever come across. She is an ideal teacher. She has all those

As I begin my rewarding career as I teacher, I sit and reflect on what my goals and priorities are in

In order to have a productive learning environment where I will be able to educate my students,

finally completing an analysis of the results. The next method I would explore is decision making

problem solving. When I teach the students to problem solve accurately they be able to overcome
obstacles and find a solution that best resolves the issue. Next, I will help my students think

Essay on My Ideal Teacher
My Ideal Teacher
When I think about teachers that I have had in the past, several different ones come to my mind.
Each of these educators stands out in my mind for a variety of diverse reasons. Whether it is their
sense of humor, their tactfulness, their love of the subject matter, their fanatical and sporadic
behavior, or their yearning to be childish themselves, I can still remember at least one quality of
every teacher I have ever encountered. Every one of these teachers conveyed subject material to
their students just as they were educated and employed to do. However, I trust that every

I had a teacher in high school that began each class with a funny story or a random fact. We, as
students, looked forward to attending to his classes just to know what he had brought for us that day.
He was a stern teacher, but everyone appreciated him because he showed an interest in us enjoying
his classes.
An additional way that educators can make the class stimulating while maintaining student interest
is to include voice fluctuations and floor coverage in their lectures. We have all experienced those
teachers who never change their voice or their position on the floor during the course of an hour.
These monotone voices and stand still positions are almost hypnotizing; students get sluggish and
drop curiosity fast. My ideal teacher would use their voice to expand and carry on the students'
attention for the whole hour.
Using voice to emphasize an important point or even an incident that is being discussed can be very
valuable in creating excitement for the students. When a teacher moves about the room, one will
notice that the students will focus on the teacher and their eyes will follow. Simply moving their
eyes to follow the teacher's pattern of movements can be effective in keeping the student's attention.
A teacher could even reenact or act out using body actions for various topics. This would make the

Descriptive Essay About My Teacher
My creator. My abettor. My sidekick. My teacher. My defender. My superstar. These are all the
things that my sire wholeheartedly is. From keeping me safe to play childish games, he is always
there to guide me. Although his overloaded job keeps him at station for an eternity, he quickly

at me with all of its might, he uses his brilliant mind to swiftly teach me how to defeat the test with a
triumphant score. Then comes the period of activity, the hardest part of his day, the part where he
almost always quits and leaves: the workout. With a determination to become physically fit, he bolts
up the rigid stairs, charging into his closet to get dressed into his navy baggy sweatpants and his
neon yellow t–shirt; then races down to the basement like it's the end of the world. The Xbox sits
idle while the fitness game eagerly waits to be played. He fires up the Xbox and starts on his 1–hour
journey to absolutely destroy the computer in tennis. Following his crushing victory over the weak
computer in tennis, I wandered to the basement in hopes of escaping my dreadful homework, only to
be absolutely flabbergasted by the number of experience points he has gained on the game. Then

Teaching Is A Beautiful Job Essay
"Teaching is a beautiful job; as it allows you to see the growth day by day of people entrusted to
your care. It is a little like being parents, at least spiritually. It is a great responsibility." – Pope
Francis
Through the various classes that I have been able to take here at Franciscan University and through
field work at Pugliese West Elementary school this semester. I have been able to slowly but surely
develop a personal education of philosophy that I hope to implement into my future classroom and
the students that will be entering into them. Until my time is done here at Franciscan and I continue
on in becoming an educator, I will continually prepare myself for the different dynamics that my
classroom will have, all depending on the children entering. Whether it being me just having an
inclusive classroom or a classroom with kids with multiple disabilities. I feel that my philosophy
will stay the same either which way it may go.
In preparing to become a teacher, I've been told by cooperating teachers, superiors whom I look up
to, as well as through multiple classes that I've had the privilege to take. That it is beyond important
that we are aware of our student's cognitive growth, physical development, as well as their social,
and emotional needs. Through the learning of Maslow's hierarchy of needs, I will be able to see
where their needs are being met and where they aren't. If the students' needs aren't being met I will

My Teaching Philosophy Essay
My Teaching Philosophy I believe that education extends far beyond the classroom walls, and
involves many more people than students and teachers. People should be learning wherever they go,
and should continue learning long after they've graduated from high school or college. Education
isn't something that can be quantified with tests or report cards, but is instead something that people
carry with them. It's a survival pack for life, and some people are better equipped in certain areas
than in others. People with a solid education are prepared for nearly anything, as they will be able to
provide for their own physical, emotional, and aesthetic needs. That being said, I also believe that a
crucial part of education does

The roles of a teacher are so many and so varied that it is impossible to list them all, but one of the
most important is preparing students to learn, not only in the classroom, but everywhere, and for the
rest of their lives. Learning is not a skill that is necessarily instinctual or easy, and therefore different
approaches must be used to make learning easier and more fun for students. Teaching is not a skill
that can be memorized or made repetitive, and so teachers must continue to challenge not only their
students, but also themselves. Teachers that become complacent in their jobs are not good teachers.
Those who can find a way to make an old lesson new and exciting will have an energized classroom,
and will be reenergized themselves. Every child is different. That sounds like an obvious statement,
but so many ineffective teachers seem to forget this. Each student has his or her own varying
abilities, talents, and levels of competence, and it is the job of a teacher not only to recognize this,
but to help each student recognize this as well. If a child isn't doing well in a particular subject, both
the teacher and the student should work towards figuring out why, and the teacher should accept the
challenge of finding a way to make a particular subject more

I believe that teaching is the most important profession in the world. How else can we continue to
develop in such a technical world, or in any other way, for that matter? Without the transfer of
knowledge to young minds, we will stagnate and wither as a world. Teaching is hope for better,
more successful futures. Learning is hope for becoming better individuals, for gaining intelligence,
and for implementing practical experiences in our future. Since we always tell our children that they
should plan for their futures and work to realize those goals, the teaching profession should
"practice what it preaches" by helping young people to reach those goals. Teaching reading during
the past five years has been rewarding beyond my

But with a little ingenuity and a great deal of training, change has become easier for me as a reading
teacher. Not only do professional activities lend themselves to opportunities to learn new ideas, they
are also ways that we professionals can share our experiences–our victories and our defeats–with
others, creating a bond and a network from which we all can gain support and advice when we need
it. Since my time of training for the reading competencies, I have served on the school literacy team.
In addition to setting goals and working to achieve those for our school as a whole, I have tried to
mentor some of the younger teachers who did not teach reading the first year it was offered at our
school. I have tried to be an inspiration, a cheerleader, and encourager. I have offered to help with
their classes, to help with lessons, to offer supplies, or whatever other things I could do to serve as a
sort of "cheerleader for reading" at my school. As a result, we now have several teachers who are
also implementing those important reading strategies, and our school is indeed seeing the results
from the test data. We're now a community of learners, rather than individual teachers doing our
"own things." So, is professional development important? Most assuredly! Not only have I have
learned new methods and strategies and how to improve them, but I have also shared them with my
peers.

Reflective Essay About The Best Teacher
Sometimes in your life, there will have something special happening to you, and it will definitely
change your way of thinking, your old method you used to deal with it. And it do happen to me too.
It was on July 3rd 2015, I was strongly inspired by THE one of the most greatest teacher I've ever
known and he made me change day by day with a lot of hard work, attempts and perseverance.
Since when I was a little girl, I have a special interest with learning a new language, such as English.
I always tried my best to keep up best grades in the class, have a flying colors in every English
lesson. My teacher always praised me as a good pupil and took me as a mirror for other students to
look at. And it was really really made me proud of myself. My learning of English mainly focused
on grammar rules, structures of English sentence

I couldn't sleep. I disappointed about myself and tears started falling, I wept uncontrollably.
Undoubtedly, this night, I luckily ran into a best method of learning English from AJ Hoge, with
such a promising title: "Speak English fluently in 6 months". The title intrigued me so much that on
whole that night, I found myself staying up on the bed reading, finding out how it works. I was
completely convinced by his power speech, the reason he gave and his enthusiastic attitude. He is
the creator of the Effortless English System and also the Director of the company. In short, he tried
to present how wrong the way almost people learning English are now, advised me to change the old
method into a new one learning like a kid and after that he guided me how I can learn and what I
should do. I spent several hours watching his videos, gradually felt more confident and ready for
doing it. Below every single video, I read these comments and there were a lot of compliments for
him and everybody showed how it worked for them. I was absolutely inspired to start my target and
felt my fully strong

My Most Memorable Teachers Essay
My Most Memorable Teachers For some reason or another certain students are drawn to particular
teachers while other students are more fond of others. In my life I have studied under three
memorable teachers. Teachers with which I was able to connect, to laugh, to share my misgivings.
While I may have been close with each of these teachers, it is very clear, in retrospect, that each was
very unique, and represented an entirely different class of teacher.
The teacher that stands out most in my head is my eleventh grade English teacher. She had a liberal
arts background, and enjoyed the classic American writers; Hemingway, Steinbeck, what have you.
She was in the class of teachers who was more impressed by actions and honesty

Her class of teachers take their jobs very seriously, and do not tolerate students who skip or disrupt
their classes. These teachers are fun, because once you get them off on some irrelevant tangent, they
will keep themselves going on it for entire class segments, trying to get out years of thought and
consideration in just a short period of time. This is how I got to know my psychology teacher,
because I was the one who kept her talking, so that the class could avoid taking the quiz that none of
us had studied for. Teachers like her have the innate gift to educate and entertain, with their
comprehensive lessons and subtle quirks.
Finally, I come to my high school horticulture teacher, whom I studied under for so many years that
by the time I was a senior, we talked to each other on a first name basis. He belonged to a small
class of teachers who are personally important to every young adult. This class of teacher is the
buddy, the friend. The teacher with whom you can talk about anything, be it the trouble you have
been having with your girlfriend, the high–potency marijuana that you smoked over the weekend, or
just the dirty jokes you heard the day before. These are the teachers with whom you simply share
interests, and thus, get along really well. Having a teacher like this is almost like having a counselor,
someone older and wiser than yourself
