Discussion 1: Theoretical Foundations of Nursing Practice and Research Hello everyone, I am glad we are beginning another educational step in this course; I wish you all the best for the whole course and other endeavors. For this discussion post, I chose the American Association of Nurses (ANA) as an organization where I would find the health policy brief and discuss it according to the presented promptly. The topic for the health policy brief is “Health System Transformation.” (ANA, n. d.). The health policy brief explained various aspects concerning the Affordable Care Act (ACA) that would help better practice among health care providers. There was enlightenment on the American Nurses Association (ANA) principles by the what ACA provided. The health policy brief also illustrated the promotion of ongoing healthcare conversations and reforming the aging population policies. The health policy brief is important since it explains how the ACA could be practiced more among the nurses toward the patients. The policy enhances better service delivery and promotes quality of life among the patients. It also provides deep knowledge to the nurses to become better healthcare practitioners (ANA, n. d.). Within the health policy brief, ANA proposes that the ACA have a balance of equal consideration for nurse practitioners and patients (ANA, n. d.). Based on the policy, better healthcare provisions are considered patient- or healthcare practitioner-oriented. In reforming the ACA to be patient and nurse-oriented, it would be possible to attain better service delivery at minimal costs according to the population health approach. Reference ANA, (n. d.).
