An abdominal ultrasound is completed, and it is found that the patient has an abdominal aortic aneurysm. The physician determines that the patient has a 10-centimeter abdominal aortic aneurysm. The patient is admitted immediately to the hospital for surgery later that evening for direct repair of the abdominal aortic aneurysm using a graph. The physician performs the surgery. At the hospital, an abdominal CT scan is completed prior to surgery as well as a chest x-ray, CMP, and CBC. The patient was in the hospital for 5 days.
