Symptoms-Gianna - A person with generalized anxiety disorder tends to worry unrealistically, excessively, and persistently throughout their day resulting in constantly feeling overwhelmed. - As a result of GAD, people are often unable to concentrate or have a blank mind, feel irritable, have a lack of concentration, are easily tired, and experience a considerable amount of anguish and impairment in their social and occupational lives.

Effects on day to day functions- Payton a. Patient with Generalized Anxiety can also develop severe depression and bi-polar disorder all these leading to a poorer quality of life. b. Patient will struggle with concentrating due to worry; this will make it hard for the patient to have a job and complete simple tasks like driving. He/she won’t be able to stay focused for. c. Patient will encounter restlessness which then the patient while encounter irritability and is already easily fatigue. All these will make the patient struggle in social/occupational areas.
Prognosis- Gianna - Many patients with generalized anxiety disorder don't comply with medications because of cost and adverse effects, and relapses are common. - Due to the lack of conventional medicine available to treat the disorder, patients often search for physicians who meet their needs. - There is little success with alternative therapies for these patients, and their quality of life is low.
